Meet the Owner
Howdy howdy! My name is Tannah Peterson and I'm going to share the backstory about me and my business, Gussied Up.
I was born and raised on a 5 generation farm in the middle of nowhere, but nowhere was the best place to be. In my upbringing, my family focused on crops, however, in my teens I grew an interest for one sport... rodeo. When I was 13, I leased a neighbors horse for 4H rodeo, and by the end of the season I was in love with not only the horse, but the sport and lifestyle itself. I continued to rodeo for the next 5 years, gaining confidence and respect every time I threw a saddle on my horse.
When someone pays for a rodeo ticket, they pay for the performance. Whenever I would attend a rodeo, I made it my goal to have the most eye-catching outfit on, because I believed it was my job to perform for all of those who had paid for a ticket to watch the rodeo performance. This is where my inspiration for Gussied Up came to life. All of my rodeo outfits came from ideas in my head that I magically made into a functioning piece of attire. Years later, I realized I wanted to provide women with the tools they need to be able to put on a western performance, in and out of the arena. Offering shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, and more, Gussied Up is your one stop for all things western.
I am currently taking a break with rodeo to focus on my business, Gussied up, however I plan to professionally rodeo soon enough.
